1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Kira mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Mikaiyo PLT ("we", "us", "our"), a limited liability partnership registered in Malaysia.

2. Description of Service

Kira is a mobile application that allows users to split bills and shared expenses among a group. Key features include:

• Uploading receipt photos for itemised bill splitting
• Entering payment amounts and total bills
• Generating payment references for split amounts
• Managing group expenses with contact details

Kira is a bill-splitting tool only. We are not a bank, payment service provider, or e-money issuer. We do not hold, transfer, or process funds on behalf of users.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use Kira. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that do not comply with this requirement.

4. User Responsibilities

By using Kira, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and truthful information when using the App
• Use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms
• Not use the App to facilitate fraudulent transactions or misrepresent expenses
• Keep your account credentials (if applicable) secure and confidential
• Not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App
• Not upload receipt images containing sensitive information unrelated to the bill split

5. Payment Integration

Kira generates payment references solely as a tool to assist users in completing payments. You acknowledge that:

• Kira does not process, initiate, or guarantee any payment transactions
• All payments are subject to your bank's own terms and conditions and policies
• We are not liable for failed, delayed, or incorrect payments made through third-party payment systems
• You are solely responsible for verifying that the correct amount is paid to the correct recipient

6. Receipt Images and Content

When you upload receipt images to Kira, you confirm that:

• You have the right to upload and use the image
• The image is relevant to a genuine shared expense
• The image does not contain content that is illegal, offensive, or violates any third-party rights

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms without prior notice.

7. Privacy

Your use of Kira is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our data practices.

8. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the App, including but not limited to the Kira name, logo, design, software, and content, are owned by or licensed to Mikaiyo PLT. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App solely for your personal, non-commercial use.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our express written permission.

9. Disclaimers

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Warranties that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses
• Warranties regarding the accuracy of bill calculations or payment references generated

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mikaiyo PLT shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

• Your use of or inability to use the App
• Any payment disputes between users of the App
• Errors or inaccuracies in bill calculations resulting from incorrect data input
• Unauthorised access to your account or personal data

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount, if any, you paid to us in the twelve (12) months prior to the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mikaiyo PLT and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

12. Modifications to the App and Terms

We reserve the right to:

• Modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any feature at any time
• Update these Terms at any time with notice provided through the App or by email

Your continued use of the App after any changes to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time if you breach these Terms or if we decide to discontinue the service. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
